KLP48, Sister Group Baru AKB48 di Malaysia
SEAToday.com, Kuala Lumpur - AKB48 mengumumkan sister group baru yang berbasis di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, KLP48, Senin (1/1), setelah kali pertama membentuk JKT48 pada 2011. Pengumuman resmi tersebut disampaikan AKB48 melalui akun Facebooknya. Diketahui, KLP48 akan memulai debutnya pada musim panas di Jepang, sekitar Juni-Agustus 2024.
Pengumuman ini diiringi dengan peluncuran website di www.klp48.my dan akun media sosial KLP48. Dengan demikian, KLP48 menjadi sister group kesepuluh dari AKB48, menyusul grup AKB48 lain di luar Jepang yang masih aktif diantaranya JKT48 (Indonesia), BNK48 (Thailand), MNL48 (Filipina), AKB48 Team SH (Tiongkok), AKB48 team TP (Taiwan), dan CGM48 (Thailand). Sedangkan tiga sister group lain yang sudah tidak aktif yaitu SGO48 (Vietnam), MUB48 (India), dan DEL48 (India).
