Siomay Terpilih sebagai Dumpling Terbaik di Dunia 2024 Versi TasteAtlas
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Siomay, hidangan asal Bandung, Indonesia, terpilih sebagai dumpling terenak di dunia versi TasteAtlas, Senin (15/4). Siomay berada di peringkat pertama dengan meraih skor 4.8, mengungguli Guotie dan Tangbao, makanan asal Tiongkok, yang meraih skor 4.7.
Dalam lamannya, TasteAtlas menulis Siomay berasal dari bahasa Tionghoa “Shumai” yang diyakini berasal dari para imigran Tionghoa yang datang ke Indonesia pada masa penjajahan Belanda. Siomay khas Indonesia terdiri dari pangsit ikan, telur, kentang, kol, tahu, dan pare yang dikukus, lalu disiram dengan saus kacang yang pedas, kecap manis dan saus sambal, serta perasan air jeruk nipis.
