Perayaan Songkran Thailand 2024 Akan Diperpanjang Sepanjang Bulan April
SEAToday.com, Thailand - Komite pemerintahan Thailand berencana untuk menggelar perayaan tahun baru Thailand, Festival Songkran selama sebulan penuh pada April 2024, dari yang biasanya hanya tiga hari, untuk mengukuhkan posisi Thailand sebagai 10 besar tujuan wisata untuk festival di dunia. Kabar ini diumumkan di Facebook Ketua Komite Strategi Soft Power Nasional, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, pada Jumat (1/12).
Shinawatra mengatakan, rencana penerapan strategi soft power untuk tahun 2024 telah dimulai, dengan 12 sub-komite di 11 industri yang mengajukan anggaran untuk meningkatkan industri ekonomi kreatif. Salah satunya dengan menjadikan Songkran sebagai acara kelas dunia yang dirayakan di seluruh 77 provinsi kerajaan.
Ketua Sub-komite Promosi Industri Festival, Chadatip Chutrakul, mengatakan bahwa lokasi utama festival akan berada di Ratchadamnoen Avenue, Bangkok selama tiga hari tiga malam. Sebuah parade akan diadakan untuk memamerkan budaya dan atraksi wisata yang diikuti oleh perwakilan dari setiap provinsi.
