SEVENTEEN Jadi Artis K-pop Pertama yang Ditunjuk Sebagai UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador

SEAToday.com, Paris - Boy grup SEVENTEEN (@saythename_17) menjadi penyanyi K-pop pertama yang ditunjuk sebagai Goodwill Ambassador for Youth oleh UNESCO di kantor pusat UNESCO, Prancis, pada Rabu (26/6). Hal tersebut diumumkan Pledis Entertainment, Selasa (11/6). Penunjukkan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan partisipasi masyarakat di seluruh dunia terhadap ideologi dan kegiatan UNESCO. 

SEVENTEEN dan UNESCO telah bekerja sama untuk mempromosikan pentingnya pendidikan melalui campaign 'Going Together'. Campaign yang diluncurkan pada Agustus 2022 ini telah membuahkan hasil yang signifikan, diantaranya pembangunan dua pusat pembelajaran regional di Timor Timur dan dukungan terhadap pendidikan di Malawi.

Sebelumnya, SEVENTEEN pernah menyampaikan bahwa solidaritas pemuda dan pendidikan dapat mengubah masa depan dan dunia. Hal itu disampaikan dalam UNESCO Youth Forum ke-13 yang digelar di Prancis pada bulan November tahun lalu.
