Tradisi Unik: Syawalan di Boyolali, Ratusan Sapi di Arak

SEAToday.com, Boyolali-Ada yang unik dalam tradisi sepekan Syawalan atau Lebaran Ketupat di Dukuh Mlambong, Desa Sruni, Boyolali, Jawa Tengah. Tradisinya disebut Bakdan Sapi, yaitu cara warga setempat untuk mensyukuri berkah alam.

Warga desa ini memiliki profesi turun temurun sebagai peternak sapi perah dan sapi bibit. Penjualan susu dan daging sapi di sini menjadi sumber pendapatan utama.

Karena itu, setiap Lebaran Syawal, selain tradisi Kembul Bujono atau makan ketupat bersama, warga juga mengeluarkan sapi dan kambingnya, dikalungkan ketupan lalu dikumpulkan bersama ternak milik warga lain.

Inilah yang disebut Tradisi Bakdan Sapi. Di puncak acara, ratusan sekor sapi tersebut diaak di jalan desa. Di barisan depan ada satu gunungan berisi hasil bumi, iringan tarian Reog Topeng Ireng.

“Jadi setiap tahun khususnya pada hari kedelapan bulan Syawal itu diadakan tradisi arak-arakan sapi, untuk memeriahkan lebaran untuk mengisi bulan Syawal. Tujuannya yaitu untuk meningkatkan persatuan kesatuan khususnya warga masyarakat RW 4 ini karena 99% masyarakat di sini adalah masyarakat petani ternak, “ ujar Jaman, salah satu tokoh masyarakat di sini.

Gunungan berisi hasil bumi yang diarak kemudian diperebutkan warga, dan sebagian isinya diberikan untuk pakan sapi. Tradisi ini diyakini mendatangkan berkah, warga juga percaya sapi-sapi yang ikut dalam arak-arakan akan tumbuh baik.

“Istilahnya orang Jawa di sini percaya membawa berkah sapi cepat bunting, cepat beranak, sehat-sehat semua. Semua setiap lebaran terakhir bokdo kupat itu memang sapi semua dikalungi kupat(ketupat), dikasih minyak wangi terus dimandiin, “kata Eko Raharjo, peternak sapi di desa ini.
