Profil Donny Kesuma, Aktor dan Mantan Atlet yang Meninggal karena Sakit Jantung
SEAToday.com, Bekasi-Aktor sekaligus mantan atlet softbol Donny Kesuma meninggal dunia pada Selasa 19 Maret 2024 sekitar pukul 19.19 WIB di usia 55 tahun. Donny Kesuma sedang menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit di Bekasi, Jawa Barat karena mengalami sakit jantung.
Saat berita ini ditulis, jenazah Donny sudah dibawa dari rumah sakit ke rumah duka di Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Isak tangis keluarga menyambut kedatangan jenazah Donny. Banyak pelayat yang datang ke rumah duka.
Donny lahir di Jakarta pada 6 Juni 1968. Perjalanan karier pria berdarah Sunda ini di dunia entertainment sebagai pemain sinetron. Tahun 1997 Donny membintangi sinetron Bidadari yang Terluka bersama Ria Irawan dan Bella Saphira.
Setelah berakting di sinetron Bidadari yang Terluka, Donny kemudian mendapatkan banyak tawaran sinetron seperti Bulan Bukan Perawan, Hari Berganti Hari, Rahasia Gadis, Pengakuan Pariyem, Siti Nurbaya, hingga berperan di beberapa serial televisi atau FTV.
Tak hanya jadi pesinetron, Donny juga melebarkan sayap sebagai pemain film. Total ada sekitar 9 layar lebar yang pernah dibintangi Donny, antara lain X:The Last Moment, Love and Edelweiss, Kawin Kontrak 3, My Idiot Brother, Doea Tanda Cinta, Why Do You Love Me, dan beberapa judul lainnya.
Di tengah kesibukan sebagai pemain sinetron dan film, Donny dikenal sebagai atlet sofbol. Donny membela tim sofbol Indonesia dalam beberapa ajang, salah satunya SEA Games 1997 yang berlangsung di Jakarta. Saat itu Donny membantu timnas sofbol meraih medali emas dan itu menjadi prestasi tertingginya sebagai atlet.
Beberapa tahun terakhir memang Donny lebih sering muncul sebagai bintang iklan produk jamu Kuku Bima. Donny menjadi brand ambassador bersama Ade Rai, Bambang Pamungkas, Chris John, hingga mendiang Mbah Maridjan.
Donny pernah menikah dengan Yuni Indriyati, namun bercerai di tahun 2017. Pernikahan mereka dikaruniai tiga buah hati.
