Kuah Mie Instan Rusak Gunung Tertinggi di Korea Selatan

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Gunung Halla, gunung tertinggi di Korea Selatan dihantui kerusakan lingkungan dari sumber yang tidak terduga, yakni mie instan.

Dilansir dari CNN, Kantor Taman Nasional Gunung Halla telah memulai kampanye untuk mendorong para pendaki agar tidak membuang kuah ramyun (sejenis mie instan yang disajikan dalam gelas atau wadah sekali pakai) di gunung atau di aliran sungainya untuk melestarikan lingkungan yang bersih, demikian menurut siaran pers.

Gunung Halla, dengan tinggi 1.947 meter merupakan gunung tertinggi di Negeri Ginseng dan terletak di tujuan wisata populer Pulau Jeju. Di Korea Selatan, para pendaki gunung biasanya membawa ramyun untuk dimakan di siang hari.

Spanduk yang dipasang di sekitar gunung bertuliskan "mari lestarikan Gunung Halla yang bersih dan wariskan kepada anak cucu kita", dengan tanda-tanda yang mendesak para pendaki untuk hanya menggunakan setengah dari sup instan dan air.

Merokok, meninggalkan makanan dan sampah, masuk tanpa izin, dan minum tanpa izin dilarang di gunung ini. Mereka yang melanggar peraturan dapat dikenakan denda hingga 2.000.000 won (Rp23,5 juta).

"Kaldu ramen mengandung banyak garam, jadi membuangnya di sepanjang aliran air lembah membuat serangga air tidak mungkin hidup di air yang terkontaminasi," tulis Kantor Taman Nasional dalam sebuah unggahan Facebook.

Polisi Jeju dilaporkan bertindak keras pada 25 Juni 2024, menyusul keluhan berulang kali dari penduduk mengenai perilaku wisatawan di pulau itu. Pengunjung dapat ditilang atau didenda karena tindakan seperti membuang sampah sembarangan, buang air kecil di tempat umum, dan merokok di area bebas rokok.
