Taylor Swift Donasikan 5 Juta Dolar untuk Korban Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton di Amerika Serikat
SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Organisasi kemanusiaan Feeding America mengumumkan, bintang pop Taylor Swift mengirimkan donasi sebesar 5 juta dolar untuk membantu upaya-upaya pemulihan di Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, dan South Carolina yang terkena dampak Badai Helene dan Milton.
“Kontribusi ini akan membantu masyarakat membangun kembali dan memulihkan diri, menyediakan makanan pokok, air bersih, dan pasokan bagi orang-orang yang terkena dampak badai dahsyat ini,” demikian bunyi pernyataan dari CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot di Instagram organisasi tersebut.
“Terima kasih, Taylor, telah membantu kami mengakhiri kelaparan dan membantu komunitas yang membutuhkan,” tulisnya lagi.
Badai Helene mencapai Florida pada 26 September, membawa gelombang badai setinggi 15 kaki dan 40 triliun galon air hujan. Badai tersebut menewaskan setidaknya 230 orang.
