SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Taylor Swift dinobatkan sebagai 2023 Person of the Year versi majalah TIME, Rabu (7/12).
Penghargaan ini didapat setelah konser “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” sang bintang pop mendominasi penjualan tiket pada tahun 2023, diikuti film konsernya dengan judul yang sama, memecahkan rekor box office dan membawanya menjadi seorang miliarder. Taylor mengatakan, pencapaian ini merupakan hal yang paling membanggakan dan membahagiakan yang pernah ia rasakan.
Penghargaan ini diberikan kepada seseorang yang dianggap memiliki pengaruh paling besar pada peristiwa global selama setahun terakhir.
"Memilih satu orang untuk mewakili delapan miliar orang di planet ini bukanlah tugas yang mudah. Kami memilih seseorang yang mewakili kebahagiaan, seseorang yang membawa cahaya bagi dunia," ujar pemimpin redaksi majalah tersebut, Sam Jacobs.
