Film Pendek Indonesia Kala Nanti Memenangkan Penghargaan di Jepang
SEAToday.com, Tokyo - Film pendek “Kala Nanti” (Maybe Someday) karya sineas Indonesia Praditha Blifa Rahayu meraih penghargaan Governor of Tokyo Award untuk kategori Live-Action Competition Asia International Best Short di ajang Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) & Asia 2024.
Pencapaian ini diumumkan pada Senin (17/6), setelah dilakukannya pemutaran 270 film pendek terpilih dari jumlah total 4.936 pendaftar. Sutradara Praditha mengungkapkan kegembiraannya atas kemenangan ini. Dengan penghargaan ini, ia berharap film “Kala Nanti” memiliki kesempatan untuk ditonton lebih banyak orang dan memicu diskusi akan inklusifitas terkait para penyandang disabilitas.
“Kala Nantii" bercerita tentang sepasang sahabat dekat, Sri dan Yanti. Kedua gadis tunanetra ini tinggal bersama di sebuah asrama. Suatu hari Yanti mengumumkan rencananya untuk pindah ke luar kota dan mengejar mimpinya, sementara Sri tidak mendukung keputusan tersebut.
Film ini mengeksplorasi realitas penyandang tunanetra di Indonesia. Film ini juga diperankan penyandang tunanetra: Juliana Ira Astuti dan Skolastika Nadya Valentine.
