SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Vokalis Coldplay, Chris Martin mengalami kejadian mengejutkan saat tampil di Marvel Stadium, Melbourne, Australia, Minggu, 4 November 2024. Ia terjeblos ke trapdoor (pintu jebakan) di atas panggung ketika menyapa para penonton.
Dalam video yang beredar luas di jagat maya, Chris Martin terlihat berjalan-jalan di sela-sela jeda lagu. Tak lama setelah berjalan mundur, ia terjatuh dalam lubang tersebut.
Ketika terjatuh, salah seorang kru di bawah panggung berhasil menangkap Chris Martin dan vokalis berusia 47 tahun ini dapat kembali berdiri.
"Itu tidak direncanakan. Terima kasih telah menangkapku, terima kasih banyak. Terima kasih, teman-teman," kata Chris Martin, dilansir dari CNN.
Usai insiden itu, ia kemudian melanjutkan aksi panggungnya. Ini merupakan pertunjukan keempat dan terakhir di Melbourne sebagai bagian dari tur dunia Coldplay, Music of the Spheres.
Pertunjukan pertama di kota ini juga diwarnai dengan hal yang tidak diharapkan, karena bassis Guy Berryman tidak tampil karena sakit.
"Malam ini adalah pertama kalinya dalam sejarah band kami, kami tampil tanpa keempat anggota di atas panggung," kata Coldplay dalam sebuah unggahan di Instagram.
"Guy jatuh sakit secara tiba-tiba sebelum pertunjukan. Terima kasih telah mendampingi kami selama ini."
