Jin BTS Bawa Obor Olimpiade Paris 2024, Disambut Sorak-sorai Ribuan Penggemar
SEAToday.com, Paris - Jin BTS membawa obor untuk Olimpiade Paris 2024 pada Minggu, 14 Juli 2024. Kehadirannya pun disambut oleh kerumunan penggemar yang bersorak-sorai.
Dilansir dari Yonhap News, Jin BTS memimpin kirab obor di Museum Louvre, Paris, yang dimulai sekitar pukul 20.00 waktu setempat. Kerumunan penggemar ARMY, demikian penggemar BTS akrab disapa, berkumpul untuk melihat sekilas idola mereka.
Para Army memegang papan bertuliskan "Selamat datang, Seok-jin, I Love You," "Lari, Seok-jin" dan "Semoga beruntung, Seok-jin," sembari membawa bendera nasional Korea Selatan. Kim Seok-jin adalah nama lahir Jin.
Saat Jin muncul dari pusat estafet obor di museum sekitar pukul 20.00, kerumunan orang bersorak-sorai, meneriakkan namanya. Jin terlihat tersenyum dan melambaikan tangan kepada para penggemarnya, mengakui cinta dan dukungan mereka.
Dikawal oleh polisi, ia kemudian berjalan menuju Rue de Rivoli, sebuah jalan di dekatnya, dan diberikan obor. Ia berlari sekitar 200 meter sebelum mengembalikannya ke pusat estafet obor di museum.
Acara ini bertepatan dengan Hari Bastille, hari libur nasional Prancis.
"Saya merasa sangat terhormat bisa berpartisipasi dalam pawai obor hari ini. Saya dengan tulus berterima kasih kepada ARMY dan semua penggemar yang telah memungkinkan saya untuk membawa obor ini," kata Jin setelah menyelesaikan kirab obor, menurut Hybe, perusahaan induk agensinya, BigHit Music.
Pria berusia 31 tahun ini baru saja menyelesaikan wajib militernya, dan menjadi anggota BTS pertama yang melakukannya. Ia diperkirakan akan fokus pada aktivitas solo dalam beberapa bulan mendatang.
Kirab obor domestik Prancis, yang dimulai pada 8 Mei di Marseille, Prancis selatan, telah berlangsung selama lebih dari dua bulan.
Obor Olimpiade, yang tiba di Paris pada Minggu, melakukan perjalanan melalui berbagai bagian ibukota Prancis hingga Senin dan kemudian kembali ke berbagai wilayah sebelum kembali ke Paris untuk upacara pembukaan pada 26 Juli 2024.
