Malaysia Requires Foreigners to Fill in Malaysia Digital Arrival card (MDAC) Starting December 1

SEAToday.com, Malaysia - Malaysia's Immigration Department has issued new travel requirements that will require foreign tourists entering the country to fill out an electronic arrival card, or Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), starting December 1, 2023. The card must be completed within three days of arrival in Malaysia.
This policy is done to make it easier for tourists to come to Malaysia. One of the benefits provided is an autogate or automatic entry service for 10 registered countries while at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The ten countries are Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Germany, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
There are three categories of travelers who are not required to complete or produce an MDAC, namely Malaysian Permanent Residents, Malaysian Automated Clearance System (MACS) holders, and those transiting or passing through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance.
