SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Gather ‘round Swifties! Harvard and University of Florida are now entering the Taylor Swift era 😎
Both Harvard and University of Florida (UF) will offer courses dedicated to this famous singer-songwriter; “Taylor Swift and Her World” and “Musical Storytelling With Taylor Swift and other Iconic Female Artists” respectively. The courses are open starting in Spring 2024, and related information is available on the university website.
According to the information, Harvard’s course will study fan culture, celebrity culture, adolescence, adulthood, and appropriation, along with the texts and subtexts. Meanwhile, UF’s course will oversee “13 gorgeous weeks of discussing Taylor Swift’s discography, with a focus on her evergreen songwriting”.
