Transjakarta Launches Open-Top Double-Decker Bus Tour, Let's Explore Jakarta in Style!
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Transjakarta introduces its latest innovative product, The Open Top Tour of Jakarta. It is an open-top double-decker bus service designed to support Jakarta's vision as a Global City.
According to Transjakarta’s official website, the program aims to showcase Jakarta’s vibrant charm while integrating its rich culture, history, and modern skyline. The inaugural route, Jakarta Skylines, operates in the afternoon and evening, offering passengers a breathtaking view of the city’s illuminated skyscrapers.
This unique service boasts several premium features:
- Exclusive Open-Top Access: Enjoy panoramic city views from the second floor of the double-decker bus.
- Silent Headphones: Listen to engaging tour narratives and curated music for a comfortable journey.
- Premium Lounge Access: Relax at Ratu Plaza’s premium lounge featuring Brightspot-curated culinary offerings.
- Digital Ticketing System: Effortless booking ensures convenience and certainty for passengers.
- Exclusive Merchandise: Purchase souvenirs through a special collaboration with Brightspot.
To celebrate the official launch and trial operation, a promo price of IDR 50,000 per person is offered from its normal price at IDR 100,000. This fee includes the provision of silent headphones for customer comfort, access to the premium lounge at Ratu Plaza, maintenance of the digital ticketing system, as well as a limited bus capacity to ensure all customers enjoy the second floor of the open roof bus.
Ayu Wardhani, Transjakarta’s Head of Public Relations and CSR Department, stated,, “This service is expected to become a new icon of Jakarta tourism, on par with Hop On Hop Off services in global cities such as London and Kuala Lumpur. By integrating elements of culture, history, and modernity, this program strengthens Jakarta's image as a creative and tourist-friendly city.”
On its inaugural route, Transjakarta took Brightspot and Ratu Plaza as its collaboration partners. Going forward, Transjakarta plans to add thematic routes that focus on historical, artistic, and cultural locations.
Furthermore, collaboration with various parties such as museums, festivals, and creative communities will also be expanded to provide an increasingly interesting and diverse experience for the community and tourists.
The Open Top Tour of Jakarta refelects Transjakarta's commitment to to innovation, not only as a public transportation service provider but also as a driver of the tourism sector and creative economy. This program is expected to become an important part of Jakarta's urban tourism, strengthening Jakarta's position as a modern and iconic city at the global level.
