SEAToday.com, Singapore-Good news from Singapore, the zero-energy hotel is set to open in 2028 at Changi Airport, terminal 2, one year later than originally projected. There will be 255 rooms under the Hotel Indigo brand.

The hotel will have facilities such as a rooftop day club, bar, and infinity pool overlooking the airport runway. The hotel will be the airport's third landside hotel located at the terminal that is accessible to the public. It is also located before the security checkpoints.

Moreover, the new hotel will aim to generate as much energy as it uses through several features such as solar panels, hybrid cooling systems, naturally ventilated corridors, and rainwater harvesting technology. This aims to minimize the hotel's carbon footprint.

The early stages tender process to develop the new land-side hotel at terminal 2 was held back in August 2023. Changi Airport Group and Real Estate Group OUE shared on Friday (26/4), that the new hotel would be able to accommodate the increasing flow of travelers around the Changi area.
