SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Afgan released the latest song from his collaboration with Korean rapper Jessi entitled ESCAPE, Friday (21/6).
The Panah Asmara singer uploaded a video clip on his Instagram account. In his upload, Afgan also announced the release of the song. In the video caption, Afgan revealed that Jessi and her team worked on the song and video clip "ESCAPE" on the Island of the Gods, Bali.
Afgan and Jessi have known each other since 2018. However, they only had the opportunity to work together this year.
"I first met Jessi at a music festival in 2022. Since then, we have been good friends," Afgan explains.
"Then about Escape, I asked her if she wanted to contribute her voice to the song. I expect Jessi to rap as usual," he added.
Apparently, Afgan's offer was welcomed by Jessi. She even asked for a special part to sing.
"I expected Jessi to rap as usual, but she wanted to sing. This is a surprise for me, and of course for Jessi's fans," said Afgan.
The single titled Escape was released on (21/6/2024). With English lyrics, this song tells the story of someone who invites his partner to go spend time together.
Through his personal Instagram account @afgan__, he explained that the song Escape has the nuances of summer fun. For this reason, the shooting process for the Escape video clip was carried out in Bali.
Escape is one of the songs from Afgan's mini album titled Sonder. Besides Escape, there are several other singles, namely Shallow Water, Lonely Night, Criminal Over You, and Missing The Old Day.
