SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Traveloka officially collaborates with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) to expand the coverage of tourists in Southeast Asia. Later, Traveloka will show the charm of Hong Kong tourism to Southeast Asian tourists.
"Hong Kong is one of the destinations that our customers are interested in. This can be seen from the increase in airplane ticket transactions by almost 4 times during the final quarter of 2023, when compared to the same period the previous year," said Caesar Indra as President of Traveloka as reported by an official release.
"The collaboration between Traveloka and HKTB will further emphasize our commitment to promoting global destinations on our platform, and inviting consumers to try new things," he added.
Hong Kong's tourism sector is said to have continued to increase since the reopening of international borders. From data released by HKTB, the number of international tourists arriving in Hong Kong in the January-December 2023 period jumped to 33 million, an increase of 60 times compared to the same period in 2022.
"Collaboration with Traveloka plays an important role for us to unlock the potential of Hong Kong's tourism richness and help us understand consumers better," said Regional Director Southeast Asia of Hong Kong Tourism Board Liew Chian Jia.
"As such, we hope that this collaboration will not only invite more travelers from Southeast Asia to explore the charms of Hong Kong but also give them a better understanding of Hong Kong.
