SEAToday.com, Tokyo - Detective Conan author Aoyama Gosho has decided to put the manga on hiatus after the publication of the seventh issue on January 10, 2024. The decision to go on hiatus was announced as indefinite. This information was shared through videos and publications in Shogakukan Shonen Sunday and social media X (@/conanfansclub) on Wednesday (1/24). Instead, the Magic Kaito manga will continue to be published until April 10, 2024.

The Detective Conan comic itself is 30 years old, having first appeared in Shonen Weekly Jump on January 19, 1994. The Detective Conan manga has evolved into an animated television series that premiered in 1996 and has also been adapted for the big screen and video games.
