Reason Halloween Synonymous with Pumpkins

Jack O'Lantern is apparently a nickname for Stingy Jack. Stingy Jack is thought to have invited the devil to drink with him.

On Halloween, many houses are decorated with pumpkins that have been carved with spooky faces. Since pumpkins were originally used in Ireland, many of them moved to the United States and introduced the tradition of Halloween in the country until it became globally popular.
