SEAToday.com, Seoul - BELIFT LAB revealed the new name for ILLIT's official fan club is “GLLIT”, Sunday (1/9). It was explained that the pronunciation is “Glit”, inspired by the word “glitter” which means sparkle and shine, because ILLIT fans will shine the brightest and make ILLIT sparkle. The announcement also stated that the global fan club membership will officially open on Thursday (Sept. 5).

BELIFT LAB had previously announced in April that ILLIT's official fan club name would be LILLY. However, some fans expressed concern over the name's similarity to other K-pop fandoms and idols. In response, BELIFT LAB then announced that they would be changing the name.

ILLIT is a South Korean girl group formed through the reality show of one of the Korean television stations, JTBC. Titled RU Next, it is a survival show formed in collaboration between HYBE Label and JTBC.

At first, ILLIT had six members, namely Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha, and Youngseo. However, on January 5, 2024 Youngseo decided to leave the group and ended the exclusive contract with BELIFT LAB.

With five members, ILLIT made its debut on March 25, 2024 with the mini album 'Super Real Me' and the title track 'Magnetic'.
