Mobile Legends to Return to 2025 SEA Games

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-The official MLBB Esport social media account announced that Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang (MLBB) will be one of the tournaments contested at the Thailand SEA Games 2025 for both men's and women's divisions.
"We are proud to announce that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been officially announced as the headline esport event at the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand," wrote @mlbbesports_official, Wednesday (10/30).
MLBB was first contested as an esport at the 2019 Philippines SEA Games. Since then, this esport has been included as one of the tournaments in every SEA Games. Therefore, this year will mark the fourth consecutive time MLBB being contested in SEA Games.
At the 2019 Philippines SEA Games and Vietnam 2022 SEA Games, the Indonesian national MLBB team won a silver medal. Meanwhile the Indonesian MLBB women's national team made history by getting the inaugural gold medal when the Mobile Legends women's category was first contested at the Cambodia SEA Games.
The Thailand SEA Games 2025 will be held in three major cities in Thailand, Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla, in December 2025.
This will be the seventh SEA Games held in Thailand, following an 18-year gap since the last 2007 SEA Games in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Bangkok was the main host at the 1959 SEAP Games, 1967 SEAP Games, 1975 SEAP Games, and 1985 SEA Games. Then Chiang Mai became the main host in 1995, and Nakhon Ratchasima in 2007.
