“Die With a Smile” Becomes Longest-Running #1 Hits on Daily Global Spotify Chart
SEAToday.com, Jakarta -It’s official! Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” has dethroned Tones and I’s “Dance Monkey” for the longest-running #1 hit in the daily global Spotify chart history, Monday (2/10).
“Die With a Smile” has recorded a total of 121 days atop the chart, surpassing “Dance Monkey” who previously held the title for almost five years. The single first entered the chart at 10th place on August 16. It has broken the record for the fastest song to reach one billion streams on Spotify, doing so only in 96 days.
The song has currently been streamed 1.8 billion times on Spotify, while its music video has a staggering 600 million views on YouTube. “Die With a Smile” also has placed first on Billboard hot 100 for four consecutive weeks and 24 weeks in total.
